8 new Metal Battle finalists confirmed

More than half of the participating countries have already crowned their Metal Battle finalists.
Also today we can introduce you 8 more bands from all over the world which will represent their home countries at the international finale in August.
Let´s begin with Italy where Deathless Legacy have won the local finale. The horror metal band was founded in 2006 and released their debut album "Rise From The Grave" in 2014.
In the same year they also had the honor of supporting Rob Zombie in Milan. After their victory at the national Metal Battle finale they will now proceed to Wacken!
Today´s second finalist comes from Japan. Ethereal Sin were founded in 1997 in Kobe. After a long break the final lineup formed in 2007 followed by the first LP "The Abyss will also gaze into thee" in 2009.
In the following years they had a lot of live activity including shows as support of bands such as Entombed, Fleshgod Apocalypse and also Marduk. In 2012 & 2013 they already managed to qualify for the Metal Battle finale but in this year they managed to finally win the battle and will now proceed to Wacken!
Latvia is next on the list. "Progressive music for progressive minds" - this is what Legacy ID describe their music as to the audience. The band was formed 2013 in Riga und released their debut "Genesis" one year later in 2014.
The album was critically acclaimed as "Latvian Metal Debut Of The Year. In August the will have the opportunity to convince the rest of the metal world of their musical skills.
Also Uruguay will once again sent its ambassador of metal to Wacken: Libertad O Muerte is the name of the melodic death metal band from Montevideo which managed to win the national finale.
Founded in 2013 they released their first album "Karma Error" in 2014. In 2015, with less more than two years of existence, they applied for the second Metal Battle Uruguay, where they were chosen (by unanimous choice), as the representatives of their country at next Wacken Open Air
Savage Machine are the winners from Denmark. Their mission: Revive the old school heavy metal! And if the critics are right, the band is on the best way to fulfill this mission. They gained a lot of attention and positive critique with their 2 releases called "A World in Ruins" and "Through The Iron Forest" and are very busy with live shows until they proceed to the big Metal Battle finale in Wacken.
We stay in Scandinavia but need to travel a bit to the north. There, in Sweden the next finalist was chosen by the local jury. Summoned Tide was founded in 2004 and managed to be called "one of the hottest newcomers from the north" Their music is heavily influenced by bands like Uriah Heep, Iron Maiden, Queensryche and Halloween. Both their albums called "If We Fall We Will Rise " and "The Bringer of The Tide" have gained very good reviews by both magazines and radio stations across Europe. They also managed to play at bigger festivals such as Sweden rock and this year they will finally debut at Wacken!
Let´s proceed with Sycorax. The Indian Death Metal band from Darjeeng won the local finale and shortly after that finished works on their debut album "Sycotherapy" which will be released in August.
Last but not least we want to introduce you to the Israelian winner. The alternative metal band Walkways was founded in 2006 under a different name but the final lineup emerged later in 2010. The critically acclaimed debut album "Safe in Sound" was released and self published in 2013. Mix and mastering were done by Jens Bogren (Opeth, Katatonia, Soilwork) at the Swedish Fascination Street Studios.
We want to congratulate all of the 8 bands and are looking forward to see them live on stage at the finale.
