Easter-announcement – Danzig enlarges the Wacken billing with a special Misfits set and a special guest

Just at the beginning of the Easter weekend we prepone this year’s Easter present and give you a new band announcement. We are glad, that we can announce you the next big thing for the Wacken Open Air 2013 today: Danzig. And to round it out, Danzig will play a Misfits Set with Special Guest Doyle.
The band was found in 1987 and named after the founder and front man Glenn Danzig, who got famous with his projects Samhain and the celebrated Misfits. The Misfits were founded in 1979 and they established the horror punk genre. Their influences to the rock, punk and metal scene are huge; Metallica and other big bands name them as an inspiring example. The Misfits split up in 1983 and Glenn Danzig’s career leaded over Samhain to Danzig afterwards. And now Danzig will play a special Misfits set in Wacken, together with Misfits guitarist Doyle “Wolfgang von Frankenstein”!
