FASTER HARDER LONGER! A whole week of Wacken thanks to an additional arrival day!
Dear Metalheads!
The memories of our 2023 festival are still on our minds, as is the gratitude towards our Heroes, the people who stayed at home and made W:O:A 2023 possible in the first place.
In 2024, we want to do everything we can to avoid a similar situation.
That's why we're introducing some news today regarding your arrival in 2024:
Arrival by car - only with Access Pass
In order to organize an optimal journey, anyone arriving by car must register online in advance for an exact day of arrival. You will receive an Access Pass for the selected day. Without an Access Pass, it will not be possible to access the camping areas.
All further information on booking Access Passes and Sunday arrival will follow at the end of January 2024 on our website, app, newsletter and on our social media channels.
Sunday arrival? What many of you have wanted for a long time, we will implement next year: we will open some camping areas on Sunday, 28th of July 2024 from 8 am, including Bauer Uwes Garten, Camper-Park and of course the heart of our camping areas, the W:O:A-Campground.
The areas Camper-Park, Bauer Uwes Garten, TE.N.T. (our new camping area), Residenz Evil and Moshtel can all be booked from Friday, 15th of December, 5 pm via metaltix.com.

For Camper-Park and Bauer Uwes Garten the arrival and Access Pass for Sunday will be included in the plot price.
Depending on whether you arrive on Sunday or Monday, the price is adjusted and you will automatically receive your Access Pass for the booked day.
TE.N.T. will open on Monday, 29th of July 2024. Residenz Evil will also be open as usual from Monday, 29th of July 2024 and Moshtel from Tuesday, 30th of July 2024.

Limited Access Pass – Sunday
If you arrive by any vehicle on Sunday, the Access Pass costs 66.60 Euro - but not per person, only per vehicle. As example, if four of you are traveling in one car, not only the environment will be happy, but also your wallet.
The Access Passes for Sunday are limited. There are no additional costs for the Access Pass for all other arrival days except Sunday.
That's why Sunday is worth it!
One more day on Holy Ground!
The days on the Holy Ground always go by far too quickly. Next year you can be there for a whole week. Even more Wacken - even more Metal! Already on Sunday there will be a Welcome Party with Wacken founder Holger Hübner, who will heat you up as DJ Hübi.
Best Places
First come, best camping spots! Secure the favorite spots with the shortest way to the Infield.
Wristband Exchange
Especially for those arriving on Sunday, the wristband exchange will also be open earlier. Arrive early, get your festival wristband on your wrist faster and get into the happening. Metalhead, what more could you want?
Less traffic jams - a more relaxed journey
The traffic situation is generally calmer at the weekend and traffic jams are less frequent. Due to the extended arrival period, it is also to be expected that the traffic situation will also be eased on the other arrival days.
W:O:A Bus Shuttle from Itzehoe – for free
Good news for all W:O:A visitors arriving with the W:O:A bus shuttle from Itzehoe: "Those arriving by bus shuttle pay nothing for the early arrival to the Campground on Sunday," explains organizer Holger Hübner. "With another day of festival and associated costs in terms of personnel and logistics, we would like to reward our fans who arrive in an environmentally conscious manner. Form carpools or come by bus and train."
