New bands and cool skis on the third of Advent!

The third Sunday of Advent is here, and you know what that means for the loudest Advent calendar in the world: Bands, bands, bands!

Like every Sunday, we’re adding more top-notch acts to the W:O:A 2025 lineup, featuring the heaviest of heavy sounds. While you (hopefully) enjoy a relaxing end to your weekend, we’re unleashing ten absolute bangers today. Here we go:

With Annisokay and Landmvrks, two heavyweights of Metalcore are making their way to Wacken. Packed with breakneck riffs and a truckload of punch, they’re set to bring the heat!

That our world is becoming ever more tech-driven is no secret. Master Boot Record harness this trend, blending Metal, classical music, and video game soundtracks into a wild mix. Wonder what Skynet thinks about that?

Equally boundary-pushing are Avralize from Baden-Württemberg. Here, Instagram filters meet sharp-edged, modern Metalcore—a dangerous yet captivating combination.

If you’ve got a soft spot for metal dressed in an industrial and Nu-Metal outfit, you’ll be thrilled with Dope and Cypecore. The former has been swinging their heavy industry hammers since the mid-’90s, while many of you might remember Cypecore from the W:O:A 2024 motto show. Sparks fly when they’re around—lucky for us!

Don’t worry, we haven’t forgotten about the gloom seekers among you. And who better to make you happy than the living legends of Katatonia? Can you feel their dark wings spreading over the Holy Ground?

To keep you from getting lost in the dark fog entirely, we’ve invited the party-squad of Smoke Blow to lift the shadows. When it comes to clearing the air from smoke with their hard-hitting Rock, they’re the absolute best of the best!

On top of all that, Melodic Death Metal heroes Nyktophobia are also making an appearance, alongside the Warkings. With their third visit to Wacken and a whole army of battle-hardened Metal warriors, the Kings are here to claim their rightful throne.
