Seven new Metal Battle finalists confirmed

The Metal-Battle is in full swing! More and more countries are done with their final rounds and today we can introduce you to seven more finalists from all over the world!

Arana is the name of the winning band from Central America. The tribal metal band from El Salvador beat the competition from six participating countries and will soon represent Central America at the finals in Wacken!

Let´s proceed with the Middle East: After growing from Metal Battle Egypt to Metal Battle Middle East the first winner from this part of the world is called Blaakyum.

The doom metal band comes from Lebanon and the finals in Wacken will also be their first German show ever. But that does not mean they have no experience with international shows - a few years ago they won the Lebanese edition of the "Global Battle of the Bands" contest were they proceeded to the finals in London!

Today's third band is called Dash The Effort from Bulgaria. The band was founded in 2010, already played as support for bands like Unearth and so far released a single as well as an EP called "Polar Dawn"

Also China has crowned it´s finalist for this year: Dream Spirit. Founded 2009 in Beijing the band provides this year's line-up with oriental folk metal at its best. In China the band is already really successful with releasing a single called "Shadows" which hit the China Rock Music Charts on #1! Besides that their bass player Liu Zheng isn´t an unknown face in Wacken. With his second band Suffocated he already opened the Party Stage on Saturday back at Wacken 2012!

Spanish Blood meets Death Metal heading to Wacken from France? Yepp! Impurenza is the winner of the French finals and mash up Spanish music with death metal. Founded in 2004 the band can look back on a very successful set of live appearances including shows at Hellfest and Motorcultor festival where they each played twice. Furthermore the have released three demo CDs and an LP. The second full length album is meanwhile under heavy construction and we bet that we will hear one more of those newly crafted songs at the finals in Wacken.

The sixth finalist is Silius from Austria. This band will make everyone happy who likes oldschool trash metal from Pantera to Metallica. The band was founded in 2013 has already released a demo. Next stop - Wacken!

Last but not least we want to introduce you to Trolldskugge. Regarding lyrical content the Norwegian finalist is all about old Nordic tales and sung in old Norwegian tongues. So traditional folk mashed up with extreme metal is what awaits the audience at the finals in Wacken. Originally founded in the late 90ties the bands real and final lineup formed (after a long break) in 2010 and since the then band has released a demo called "Gravid oc Graa".
