W:O:A Metal Battle 2013 - 2 further confirmed finalists, upcoming events and news from all over the world!

There is a lot going on in the Metal-Battle world! Let´s start with the Faroe Islands and Luxembourg which have already crowned their finalists bands that will play at the international finals at Wacken and also reinforce the W:O:A Line-Up 2013!

SIC (Faroe Islands) - After a 2 days lasting final round on the Faroe Islands the band SIC won the match.

Their style can be described as a nice mixture out of death/thrash metal combined with some hardcore elements that really kicks ass!

In the past they also did some successful shows with Hatesphere and Gojira. Fans of bands that sound like something between old Sepultura, Gojira and Hatebreed will be very lucky with this band. But also everyone else should risk an ear - it´s worth it!

An Apple A Day (Luxembourg) - The next crazy metalheads from Luxembourg are called An Apple A Day and are another finalist in this year´s Metal-Battle competition who will defend the honor of their home country at Wacken. This band is also one of those that will make every fan of styles somewhere between death metal and grindcore happy! An Apple A Day got also a lot of live experience and success by supporting bands like Devil Driver, Emmure or War From A Harlots Mouth for example.

Congratulations to both bands - we are looking forward to welcome you in Wacken and see you live on stage!

But also the rest of the Metal-Battle world is busy with preparations for upcoming events. Our newest members South Africa and the Caucasian Republics have already announced further semi-finals or final participants which are preparing themselves for the upcoming battles.

And that´s not all!

Tomorrow on Saturday April 6th the Icelandic Metal-Battle finals will be held in Reykjavik.

The local promoters were able to acquire the Harpa - Iceland´s most famous concert venue which is normally home of the symphonic orchestra.

The shows will be headlined by one of Iceland´s most famous metal bands - Skalmöld.

It sounds that the upcoming evening will be a very memorable one for the Icelandic metal scene!

We are looking forward to hear about the winner and wish all bands a lot of luck at the finals!
