Wacken Open Air launcht das W:O:A METAL MASTERS
Erstmalig in der Geschichte des Wacken Open Air wird dieses Jahr das W:O:A Metal Masters ausgeschrieben.
Das Metal Masters ist ein Video-Online Voting für junge Bands, als Gewinn lockt ein Live Slot
auf dem 21. Wacken Open Air im August.
Interessierte Bands können ein Video auf wackentube.com hochladen, alle User entscheiden in der Zeit vom 20.04.2010 bis 30.06.2010 über das beste Video.
Die Gewinner-Band wird die einmalige Möglichkeit bekommen sich auf dem Wacken Open Air einem großen Metal Publikum live vorzustellen.

Die ersten Informationen für das Wacken Open Air stehen fest!
Zum einem sind die genauen Ankunfts- und Abfahrtszeiten von unserem Shuttle Service ab dem Welcome Point Itzehoe online. Von Dienstag bis Sonntag bringt euch der Shuttle vom Welcome Point am Itzehoer Bahnhof zum Festivalgelände und zurück.
Die Pläne könnt ihr, wie gewohnt, als Farb- und druckerfreundliche Schwarz/Weiß-Variante unter Shuttle Bus einsehen und downloaden.
Des Weiteren gibt es für euch ebenfalls den Öffnungszeitenplan. Hier könnt ihr entnehmen, wann und wie lange welcher Abschnitt auf dem W:O:A wie z.B. Campinggelände, Infield, Metal Markt usw. geöffnet hat.

Metal Battle:
Wie jedes Jahr erhielt der Wacken Metal Battle jede Menge Zuschriften und Bandbewerbungen für die Teilnahme an den Vorausscheidungen. Doch nicht nur für Deutschland haben sich jede Menge Bands beworben, speziell im Ausland ging es ab – quantitativ wie qualitativ hat das Ausland nicht nur aufgeholt, sondern stellt für die dann feststehenden deutschen Finalisten eine enorme Herausforderung dar. Aus diesem Grund haben wir uns entschieden, die deutsche Schlagkraft zu bündeln und auf drei Bands zu fokussieren. Aus den Bewerbern, die sich nachweislich als am meisten perspektivisch präsentieren, hat die Vorauswahl-Jury die Top3 gekürt. VICE aus Berlin, Dargolf Metzgore aus Weinstadt und A Death Experience werden um den begehrten Finalslot kämpfen.
Die Jury beim bundesdeutschen Finale beim Rock Harz-Festival muss überzeugt werden. Richtig gelesen: Die drei ausgewählten Bands ziehen direkt ins Deutschland-Finale ein und spielen beim diesjährigen Rock Harz-Festival (08. bis 10. Juli 2010) um das Ticket für das internationale Finale, das wie gewohnt auf dem Wacken Open Air (03. bis 05. August) stattfindet. Spätestens dort wird sich zeigen, ob die Bands den Vorschusslorbeeren gerecht werden und mit der internationalen Konkurrenz mithalten können. Wir sind fest davon überzeugt, dass diese drei Bands sich gegen die starke Konkurrenz behaupten können.

Dear Metalheads,
most of you know that this years Wacken Open Air is sold-out again for the fifth time.
Nevertheless the ticket-requests are unbraked. But even those, who have decided to buy a ticket by now still have a chance to get tickets.

Wacken Open Air launches W:O:A METAL MASTERS
For the very first time in history of Wacken Open Air the W:OA: Metal Masters will be launched
The Masters is a video-online voting for young bands, the prize is a live-slot on the 21th. Wacken open Air in August.
Bands can upload a video on wackentube.com, all users will decide which vid. is the best during the time of 04/20/2010 to 06/30/2010.
The winning-band will have the once in a lifetime chance to play in front of a huge metal-audience at the Wacken Open Air.

Here are the first Infos in terms of the Wacken Open Air
For one thing the exact arrival and departure-times for our shuttle service as of the Welcome Point Itzehoe are online . From Tuesday on untill Sunday the shuttle will bring you from the Welcome Point at trainstation Itzehoe to the festival-ground and back.

For another thing we have the opening-hours plan for you. You can check when and how long which section like for example the camping-area, infield, metal market etc. will be opened.

Metal Battle:
Like every year we got a lot of mails and band-applications for the preliminary decisions for the Metal Battle. But not only for Germany many bands send their application, especially in the outlands we were able to sift a lot of good bands. Those will be a hard challenge for the German finalists. Because of that we have decided to bunch the german punch and to put the focus on three bands. The jury for the pre-selection have elected the top-3 bands. VICE from Berlin, DARGOLF METZGORE from Weinstadt and A DEATH EXPERIENCE will fight for the coveted final-slot.
The jury at the German final at Rock-Harz-Festival must be convinced. Exactly: The three chosen bands will directly move into the German-final and play at this years Rock Harz-Festival (07/08/ - 07/10/2010) to win the slot at the international final-round, which is of course located at the Wacken Open Air (08/03 – 08/05/2010). By not later then there we will see if the bands premature praises were justified and if they are able to hold the international-bands pace. We are positive about the bands opportunity to challenge the international rivalry.
